Matthew Jensen
Matthew Jensen is a Bronx-based interdisciplinary artist whose rigorous explorations of landscape combine walking, collecting, photography, mapping and extensive research. Jensen’s project, Park Wonder, an extensive exploration of landscapes in Northern New Jersey, was supported by a 2016/2017 Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship and by the National Endowment for the Arts. He has participated in artist residencies with the NYC Urban Field Station, Guild Hall, L.M.C.C., Queens Museum, Wave Hill, and the MacDowell Colony among others. Jensen’s work is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, National Gallery of Art, and Montclair Art Museum, among others. He is a part-time Assistant Professor of photography and studio art at Parsons School of Design.
